Pursuing an MBA requires a lot of commitment and dedication. It requires hard work and concentration and a strict schedule that allows for study time along with time for research, projects and field work. Different universities have different course designs, some require work experience right at the start, some have in class courses and online classes, and others are a mix of all. An MBA can be more stressful because there is constant anxiety of looking for a job and most students work to support their MBA fees.Additional information can be found at http://jepdoesvlerick.wordpress.com/2011/08/05/vlerick-the-mba-podcaster/. Every week courses, quizzes, projects and papers get tougher and juggling jobs with this can really cause damage to a student’s health.

Diet is the last thing MBA students focus on, they already have so much on their plate they really do not have time to worry about what they are eating. The first and most important thing to keep in mind is hydration. Keep a water bottle with you all the time to avoid dehydration, water ensures that cells, tissues and organs function correctly. Avoid drinking coffee excessively, and avoid carbonated drinks, replace these with water or fresh juices.

To stay healthy and avoid fatigue and weakness, eat smaller meals and eat often. Fish, nuts and egg provide the body the essential fats it needs, so make sure you incorporate these into your diet. As an MBA schedule can be quite testing, eating out is often the only choice left. Look for healthy options in the menu, try to pick grilled meats along with a vegetable or fruit salad. Take out sometime during the day to fix a few healthy snacks like brown bread and tuna or turkey sandwiches and avoid fried food as much as possible. Keep these snacks with you to avoid eating unhealthy stuff and remember to always have a good breakfast, that includes milk, egg or oatmeal as that keeps blood sugar stable till your next meal.
